Same Dress Twice

As most of you will know, during her interview with Oprah Winfrey in 1998, Madonna announced that she never wears the same thing she's photographed in twice.

 

....right!

 

That was 1998 as I said.

I could already think of the Sanremo Festival dress of Feb 1995, that she'd eventually wear again when attending an Oscars dinner party a month later.

 

And more recently, the black leather dress she's worn at the Great American Songbook's in Feb 2014 and for the Ghosttown performance at Ellen's a year later, in March 2015.

 

Someone in here spotted the razorblade earrings that she's wearing everywhere - thanks very much - any other contribution?

I never noticed that. I really always just assume she's wearing another black outfit and dont really look at it much lol

i have no problem seeing her in the same outfit for different events or occasions.

I consider this a costume she used for the promotional tour.  Besides, her comment back in the 90's with Oprah, she was being facetious. But then again, it's not like she purposely lied about it.  Possibly her intention was only to wear certain things once and move on.  But again, it's not like she lied. In most cases, she hasn't worn the same outfit at major outtings.  Though, it doesn't mean we should take her so literally and she doesn't wear things more than once, especially in her daily life.  In fact, she has a pair of pants, ripped at the bottom which she wears a lot, usually when she's traveling.  There was a flowered dress she wore in the 80's she's worn on a few occasions.
