  1. I think we're setting ourselves up for a big disappointment. Let's just not forget Madonna never even hinted at the possibility of a concert in Rio and that the only official announcement we have is that the tour will end in April in Mexico. Everything else is just unfounded rumours.
  2. Also, isn't ist a bit last minute to announce a massive concert in early May? I mean, it's 60 days from now. I can't remember exactly, but I think when the Rolling Stones played Copacabana it was announced many months in advance and the hype was immense. This just feels too random.
  3. Also, I want the actual Celebration concert to be filmed and released as it is, not some chaotic Rio outdoor concert where she'll sweat profusely, her make-up will smear and all detail and nuance will be lost.
  4. I personally doubt this is true, but if it is, she'll have to come up with a completely different kind of show. The Celebration Tour as it is is simply not an outdoor show. The screens and the way the stage is built, there's no way this show would work on a gigantic stage on the beach of Copacabana in front of a million + people. Even if it doesn't rain, it will be a massive havoc. The city of Rio is not in its best phase right now, crime is rampant, heat waves, fans dying in line for concerts... I don't think this is a good idea.
  5. oh them grillz... I think she wears them 'cause they make her feel cool and provokative, but it just comes across as drunk and impaired. but you do you, madonna... at least she looks less CGI'd in this new edit.
  6. who cares who's the biggest, this shit is so dumb. Makes absolutely no difference in anyone's lives, not even Madonna's. I'm sure she's happy with what she has achieved, whether she's the "biggest" or "richest"...
  7. I think to go out and sing to thousands of people for hours on end is a very courageous act, not to mention physically gruelling. Anybody here ever tried to sing in tune to a loud backtrack? See how long can you hold, it's physically exhausting, and if you don't have the technique you will ruin your voice for days. So I commend Madonna just for putting herself on the spot and doing it night after night. She is showing a lot of vulnerability on this tour and it is beautiful to watch. Now, that said, I think she should stick to the songs she can still sing decently (practically all the songs on this tour sound from decent to very good to me, even with the backtracks and live pitch correction). I get why some fans get upset after a botched performance like TAB from the latest tour stop in St. Paul. At least to me, it's about not wanting to see her dragged by the media one more time for her bad singing. The main problem with the latest TAB performance is that it sounds like a cheep karaoke, because she's literally singing to a pitched down version of the original single mix, with the original vocals audible in the background. Technically, it could sound a lot better if they had done something interesting and fresh with the arrangement, still using the original elements and maybe some heavy pitch correction on her voice. I'm sorry, this particular performance of TAB is simply lazy, no excuse. It was already lazy and cheap when she did it on RHT, but back then I blamed Kevin Antunes. Madonna and Stuart Price could come with something so much better that this and that is frustrating.
  8. if it's up to me, this will get buried in the sands of time.
  9. oh dear, this is painful to hear I hope she sticks with Rain from now on.
  10. Yeah, that's clearly pro-shot footage (probable from the stage cameras) and soundboard audio they're showing. Surely they didn't get the whole concert though...
  11. The best moment for Niki and Donna to participate in the show would be during the acoustic rendition of Express Yourself
  12. was she wearing contact lens for Christmas or is it a brown eye filter? For those suggesting we move on to more interesting discussion topics, she knows what she's doing. If she posted these bizarre pics, that's what she wants us to talk about. Or she has severe body dysmorphia and thinks the pics actually look good, in which case we should be worried. But I still think she's trolling us.
  13. Madonnas's body has always been an integral part of her art and creativity. Though some of the comments are obviously misogynistic, there's no way people are going to ignore her looks, even when purely analysing her art. At this point, I think her Instagram is a big "fuck you" to the world. Her profile pic alone proves it. I mean, the joke's on us for thinking she has the obligation to look good all the time. So a lot of the time she's giving us her worst possible angles and now the most terrible photoshopping. I mean, she looks like a different person in each of those pics from her last post. And all of them are ugly af. She knows it, there's no one around her who really thinks these filtered pics are good. If no one else, at least one of her kids would have told her how damn weird this is getting. If she's doing it, there's some intention behind it. Her body is her art and she is trying to push it beyond certain limits. Because she's now touring the world and presenting her unfiltered self in front of thousands each night, it gets even more bizarre. Like, this shit gives you cognitive dissonance. What is a human being supposed to look like anymore? Her posts are her commentary on this bizarre culture we live in. Plus she's a chameleon by nature, so this is just another tool for her to keep shapeshifting.
  14. Maybe she's creating an avatar of herself so she can send a hologram on tour from now on. Even the movements of her face look odd and computer generated lol
