Rich, famous and/or well connected people... I'm sure they might be some die hard fans there (especially as winners of the giveaway Itaú was doing), but the whole jumping + singing-along-to-all-the-lyrics-from-the-top-of-our-lungs experience that Brazilians deliver in concerts will probably be delegated to a further back part of the audience.. :(

All the tracks for this EP have a quiet "low" volume level, i.e. they're not compressed like the 2001(or later) remasters, which is great! Great to have an ITG version besides the Celebration one on streaming! I wonder if they are not sourced from the yellow CD singles, maybe...

My guess: maybe on Multishow, but not on Globo (Usually how long does his set last, and how much time before the concert does it start?)

And I do hope they might have something for Icon members... maybe sth like the registration code they hold for ticket pre-sale in other countries... and if such thing does happen, may I ask in advance for somebody with a kind heart and a spare Icon registration code to share it, please, from the bottom of my heart? 🥺

I wonder the VIP area for Itaú and the giveaway/contest they're having is actually in front of the stage, of it's just a separate area with a good view and better security for the people but not necessarily in front of the stage... they didn't specify anything about it...

ok, that Rolling Stones crowd picture scared me... I knew there were tons of people there, I remember this concert, but I don't remember seeing an afternoon pic of it... didn't know it got that full that early, oh, Lord! anyway, tickets to Rio already bought! 🥳🥳

For this type of concert, a broadcast may have been a condition, as part of the deal, from the start... I think it makes sense to think Itaú would put as much pressure as possible to get this broadcasted and have insisted on it since the beggining of the negotiations, to really get "their" event visible

Nothing is stopping that team from 2024 remaster-ing a vinyl rip! lol [I was just making a joke with this comment, but then I remembered that let's not forget that the OYH extended version available on streaming, on the TB 35th anniversary edition, is the yellow CD single master, but remastered (i.e. compressed)!]

As the rumours were getting some traction, I started to think that it is the sort of event that does get broadcast by Globo! Or at least by Multishow (one of the cable channels owned by Globo), with highlights being broadcast by Globo... and I still do think that

It was, by Rede Globo, the same network that made that comment at the top of the page - and released on DVD/BD a few years ago. It's not like it's the best place to have your cellphone with you, anyway lol... it's sort of like how you would do at Carnaval...

Sometimes I wonder how that pretty guy that cries and M talks to during ITG in the S&S DVD is doing... lol

I don't know how viable it would be to tour South America, given the exchange rates of the currencies (don't know about the countries, I'm taking BR into consideration, as that's where I'm from)... I mean, lots are tours are coming here, especially after the pandemic, but we know how much M's concerts are more expensive than other artists... Add that to the fact that it would not be possible to play in arenas, because there is only one in the country in the same format as they are happening in the US (Rioarena, in Rio), and filling it with people paying in BRL would probably not make a profit, so they would have to resort to playing in stadiums (although I think they could make the show work in some, like Allianz Parque, but not Morumbi), and even still the exchange rate would make it hard, either on their profit, or either on the price of the tickets for concertgoers. I mean, what they were charging for this tour in other countries, when converted to BRL, would equate to more than a month's minimum wage (even though it's not actually a living wage here in Brazil, but don't wanna go off on that tangent). When I first saw about the Itaú ads, I thought they would sponsor a regular, "normal" tour with a few concerts in the country, not this, but still... In short, I guess international investors would be necessary to compensate for the exchange rates in some regions...

I feel the exact same way, but these rumours are getting a lot of traction! Like I said a few pages ago, I'm still on the fence about this, and quite asking for it not to be true, tbh... not to spoil the party, but just because I'm thinking about the rolê todo that it would be to go to Rio for this + the actual concert (can't barely imagine the struggle lol)

Ok, credit must be given where it's due, that's an amazing release! 2 vinyl only remixes + the live track from TGS! AND they went with the most beautiful cover (imo) for the single, even if it's not the US one, the one they usually go with. That's the reissue campaign we were once happy about! + Full size artwork (4000x4000):
