So... Anyone know what Webo Girl means? I always wondered and Google didn't provide any historical context really. Like is it short for something? I remember sometimes seeing it credited as WeBo Girl as well.

But how does one get Webo from Huevo?

 

If you pronounce the Spanish word "huevo", you will notice that the "h" is mute. in combination with the "u" however, it comes close to the English pronunciation of the "w". While the Spanish "v" often times is  often pronounced almost like a "b".

Therefore:

"h"+ "u" -> "w"

"v" -> "b"

---> huevo  becomes webo in pronunciation.

a theory: madonna is a woman of balls (eggs, if you so will). she's the girls with balls. ball girls. egg girl. huevo girl. webogirl.

Huevo is pronounced "Webo" and it's a way of dancing from the early 80's NYC underground club scene - especially cuban, So it's makes all sense knowing Madonna's lifestyle and influences at that time. here you have the answer !

I thought I read years ago in an interview that "webo girl" was a loose/slang translation of "ball shaker" (huevos = testes) or something like that; and you know she likes her latin boys
